Rubber conveyor belts producing process steps:

1. Raw Material Preparation
Accurately weigh natural rubber, synthetic rubber, reinforcing agents such as carbon black, fillers such as calcium carbonate, plasticizers, vulcanizing agents, etc. according to the formula. For conveyor belts used in coal mines, special additives are added to ensure antistatic and flame – retardant properties.
2. Mixing
Use internal mixers and open – mill mixers to evenly blend the raw materials. First, put the raw rubber into the mixer for plasticizing, and then add powder materials, oil materials, etc. in sequence. The mixed rubber needs to be tested to ensure that its performance meets the standards.
3. Calendering
Pass the mixed rubber through a calender to roll it into rubber sheets of a certain thickness, which will be used as covering rubber, buffer rubber, etc. For the fabric of fabric – cored conveyor belts, it needs to go through calendering and rubber coating to enhance the adhesion between the fabric and the rubber.
4. Molding
On the molding machine, according to the structural design, first lay the lower covering rubber, then place the fabric layer or skeleton materials such as steel cords, and finally lay the upper covering rubber to form the conveyor belt blank.
5. Vulcanization-conveyor belt press
Put the blank into a vulcanizer(conveyor belt press). Under specified temperature, pressure, and time conditions, the rubber molecules cross – link to form a three – dimensional network structure, enabling the conveyor belt to obtain better physical and mechanical properties.
6. Inspection and Packaging
After vulcanization, check the dimensions, appearance, physical properties, etc. of the conveyor belt. Package the qualified products with stretch films, woven bags, etc., and then store them in the warehouse for dispatch.
