There are many types of quality defects in conveyor belts, and today we will only discuss one of them – blistering
The rubber raw material itself is unqualified, such as excessive moisture content and excessive low volatile components;
The storage method of rubber raw materials is unreasonable, leading to moisture exposure or absorption
The rubber compound is not evenly mixed;
The extruded rubber sheet is not evenly heated, resulting in uneven surface and excessive internal pores;
The adhesive-coated fabric, especially cotton canvas, may absorb moisture if stored for an extended period of time;
The adhesive tape after gluing and the film after molding are stored for too long or in unsuitable conditions, resulting in surface blooming
Due to poor performance of the adhesive bonding or covering process (non-adhesive), or excessively low room temperature during molding, air is trapped in the belt blank;
Poor work quality during calendering or molding results in impurities such as oil stains, dust, and lint on the surface of the film or fabric;
The gasoline applied on the surface of the film or tape for processing has not fully evaporated;
During the molding process, when the tape core or tape blank passes through the laminating roller, the adhesive tape or film is not pressed firmly, and air is trapped in the adhesive tape or film
No slow pressure exhaust operation was performed after loading the vulcanization pot, or the number of operations was insufficient;
Insufficient vulcanization pressure, or pressure loss, underpressure, or pressing on the working strip during the vulcanization process
The specific solution is to strengthen control in inspection, process, and other aspects from the above twelve aspects, so as to eliminate the quality defect of conveyor belt blistering.
